If you were a superhero what would your power be?
I think being able to fly would be awesome. The freedom of being able to just cruise around in the cloud sounds pretty good.
What are your most listened to albums?
I think my most listened to tunes would have to be Muse, but lately I’ve been thrashing a band called YouMeAtSix out of the UK, and im also a huge fan of John Mayer, Anberlin, Underoath and Ivoryline are also regulars on the ipod on the train to Uni.
What makes someone a hero?
I think it takes several outstanding characteristics to make someone a hero. These include courage, selflessness and humility plus being caring and genuine to everyone. I think the most important aspect is love. The way a person shows love, not like a guy/girl love, but a love that does not judge and is genuine.
Some gear about me …
Hey! I’m 20 years old; I live in Flagstaff Hill, down south and I finished at Immanuel College in ‘07. In my free time I play a fair bit of Basketball. Follow the NBA fairly closely, fan of the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat, but will watch the game whoever is on.
Don’t mind hitting the waves on a board now and then with mates but can safely say I am no pro. Hang out at Aberfoyle Uniting Church, been there for about 10 years and definitely can call it home, great people and such an awesome place to continue to grow in my faith.
I am currently in the third year of studying Civil Engineering at UniSA.
I’m a massive fan of music in general, definitely a gift from God and can clearly be used in hugely positive or negative ways. I get into a lot of different music, some notable standouts include: Muse, John Mayer, Jimmy Eat World, Search the City, Ivoryline, YouMeAtSix, Emery, Underoath, Alexisonfire, The Getaway Plan and the list goes on… Just ask me sometime!
So Why God?
I’ve grown up in a Christian home and I never really had a single life altering experience that made me look into God but it has been a continual journey of discovery. I guess a lot of little things that I have heard, seen, experienced and the people that God has put in my life have confirmed His reality to me and through this I know I can trust him with everything in my life. However the past few years I’ve really needed to test and confirm my beliefs and I have found that through every challenge, God has always been there for me and I have grown from the experience.
Through God I have found a freedom to be myself which I’m not sure I would have without knowing Him. I would recommend to anyone to just check out what God has to say to them through the Bible and the life of Jesus.
